Wedding Dress Cake

Quite often we use the wedding dress as inspiration for the wedding cake design, in this case that's what we did.  Here's the dress picture:
We mimicked the stitching on the cake adding miniature silver pearls, edible seed pearls and sugar stitches.
The bride had a special cake made for the groom also.....long story!

The Proposal - Take Two

Some time ago we did a proposal cake where the couple were in a park surrounded by trees and near a lake sitting on a park bench (I'm doing their wedding cake soon by the way).
This time we were asked to do a blonde couple, with the girl sitting on the rock and them being next to a waterfall.
Mission accomplished!

Happy Birthday Atticus The Water Baby

Atticus is a water baby, his mother said she just can't keep him out of the water!  So it was fitting that for his first birthday he would have a cake with a swimmer on it (with water wings of course).
First we fondanted the cake with a thin layer of fondant, then we laid a second layer of fondant which was then cut and peeled back to create the big splash!
Aqua coloured gel was added to make the water and a little swimming model made of sugar was bobbed on the top.
Little splashes and drips of blue gel completed the look for Atticus.
