A Personal Favourite
Five years ago I had the pleasure of making a cake for a wonderful couple who met in Bermuda. It was a blue hexagonal cake covered in shells and coral. I also made their fifth anniversary cake. This time I was asked to make a very special wedding cake for their nice who was getting married in Cambridge. Happily Ever After was their theme and their colour scheme pinks and ivories. We took the `banner`effect from their invitation and created this cake which had a scrolly detail just like the invitation also.

Pictures From Our Workbench
Sometimes we don't get a chance to take pictures of our cakes in the usual way but generally we get a shot of them somehow. Here are a few that "got away" but were photographed while they were being worked on:

Marie Antoinette's Monogram - Queen's Landing, Niagara on the Lake
The bride and grooms initials were M and A so we used Marie Antoinettes initials as their monogram for this very royal ivory and gold cake for the Queen's Landing in Niagara on the Lake. Unfortunately it was so dark in the banquet hall we couldn't get a very good picture of the cake :(

Antique Style Cakes
We have made the vintage/antique style of cake our 'signature' using a special technique that we're keeping secret....sssshhh.
Here we have a small 4" round cake with white flowers and white decorations but have used gold as an accent to make this look like a vintage piece.

Hookah, Shishe, Hubble Bubble......
......by any other name I'm sure it smells as sweet.
A little joke for a birthday we were asked for this cake. Not really ever having seen one of these before made it difficult to design and decorate this cake, but a little internet research and we devised something that I'm sure will please our client.
Inside vanilla cake with champagne buttercream.
Little Angels - Twins Baby Shower
What a lot of showers this weekend? This one wasn't a bridal shower but a baby shower and for twins, a boy and a girl.
You can just make out in the picture the little girl has a pink bow in her hair, of course!
A soft white cake with satin sugar bow and tiny hand made babies which will make an adorable keepsake for the mom to be.

All In The Details - Ancaster Old Mill
Bling, Bling - Brantford
This all white and very sparkly bling cake was so pretty everyone who saw it on Friday morning fell in love with it I'm afraid my photography doesn't do it justice.
Perfect summer wedding cake with an elegant vintage flair whilst being modern in style.

Calla Lily Wedding Cake
Sadly I took this picture before I'd put all the pretty black filler flowers on!
A simple black and white cake for a small intimate wedding. Black bling ribbon around each tier with sugar calla lilies to finish the top and little black blossoms.

Giant Cupcake
A special cake for my son and his lovely girlfriend Negin, based on her favourite colours, black and grey, with a little bit of pink (I can never resist) and lots of bling which regrettably doesn't really show up in this picture. The cherries were covered in pink glitter and the black flowers were edged in silver glitter we added rows of diamonds on the bottom of the cupcake.
Happy Birthday Neggie Noo Noos!
5 Year Survivor
We were privileged to make a cake for a five year survivor of lymphatic cancer. We certainly love to make cakes for life's milestones.

The d'Oro Wedding Anniversary
Golden wedding anniversaries are very special. Even more so when the couple celebrating are family members. My husband's parents celebrated their 50 years together with a beautiful ceremony to renew their vows and a dinner with family and friends....and a cake, of course!
