Simplicity - Copetown Woods

This cake was simplicity itself.  A white, ribbon trimmed, dotted fondant covered cake with royal icing roses and leaves for just a splash of colour.  The decor at Copetown Woods Golf Course is rustically elegant in shades of woody browns, mulled wine and ivory.
This cake was just perfect in it's setting, small enough for the wedding in question, large enough to be seen.
This cake was a 10" round and a 6" round cake, but both tiers were 4" high, higher than the bakery standard 3", therefore it was almost as high as a traditional 3 tier, but looked more modern and had more panache!
Notice the tiny lace edge around the cake board and the use of a cake stand to give the cake more height.  These hand made cake stands (made by Lou Hanson Pottery) are perfect for wedding cakes, they take the weight of the heaviest cake (and believe me, wedding cakes are heavy) look so beautiful and are hard wearing enough to resist the years so you can expect to use your cake stand for all your wedding anniversaries, christenings, family events and imagine how wonderful it will be to bring it out for your Golden Wedding Anniversary?
