Almost without fail when I speak to clients they mention the cake decorating shows on the TV so I thought it would be fun to ask everyone about what they watch. If you watch one of the shows don't forget to put your vote here.
Did you know that Ace of Cakes and the Cake Boss both have a minimum order of $1000 and that most of the cakes they do on the show are not paid for by the clients (according to Buddy Valestro himself) they are just people who enquired about cakes and who the producers feel would make the coolest stories.
Most people don't have more cake than they actually need for the number of guests that they have and therefore most of the cakes seen on the show are far exaggerated in comparison to the amount of guests they have....hey, but if you don't have to pay, why not?
