Rhoda Katz is a local watercolour artist and celebrating her birthday this weekend. Her husband came in with a tiny slide of one of her paintings as inspiration for this little cake. He wanted apples on the cake with some flowers, something like a still life.After the cake left I Googled Rhoda Katz and found this painting of hers (not the same one as the slide I saw) and now I know why he wanted apples.
